“2018 Engine and ATS Control Tech Forum”was held at SmartGen in Zhengzhou from August 8-10. After the successful conclusion of the meeting, we went to the Shaolin Temple in Songshan with our customers to experience the profound culture of central plains.

The ancient temple was hidden in mountains, Shaolin Temple was surrounded by green streams. Shaolin Temple is known as “the most famous temple in the world”, it has more than 1500 years’ history. There is a common saying, “all Kungfu comes from Shaolin, Shaolin Kungfu is the best”. We watched the wonderful Kungfu performance and then visited important buildings of Shaolin Temple. The whole temple has an antique flavour, everything is full of history.

After leaving the temple, we visited the Pagoda forest which is not far away. The highest towers have seven-storey, which are called “a seven-storey high pagoda”. The adage “Saving a life is better than building up a seven-storey pagoda” originates from this.

At the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, the weather is changeable. We are caught in an unexpected rainstorm. Many customers feel that the Shaolin Temple is more holy and solemn in misty rain, especially when they look into the distance. They really enjoy themselves in the beautiful scene.

“2018 Engine and ATS Control Tech Forum” was held at SmartGen in Zhengzhou from August 8 to 10, 2018! Even though the autumn begins, the weather is still hot. However, it can’t stop everyone’s enthusiasm to communicate. More than 50 industry friends from all over the country have gathered in Zhengzhou for a two-day special technical communication.

The theme of this meeting includes two parts:

一．Marine engine control, PMS and pump control
Combined with the demands of marine market and users, SmartGen marine products upgrade and improve continuously after over 5-year application and feedback； the products have met the system control technical requirements, such as main propulsion, main generator, emergency；engine types cover a variety of speed regulation control, such as machinery, electronics and ECU; PMS can realize the main generator, shaft generator, shore power, emergency system sync, power allocation and load transfer control functions. The products have been certified by CCS and BV classification society successively.

The pump control modules cover fire pump control modules(FPC615, FPC915) and meet the NFPA20, GB6245 fire regulation; they are suitable for HEM4100, APC615, APC715 of high-pressure pump, mud pump, drain waterlogged farmland, irrigation and other fields, with constant pressure, constant speed water supply and other speed regulation modes, can be used for machinery, electronics and ECU.

Time flies, I am thirty-seven years old this year. In several different companies, I contribute the passion of youth or live in a state of ignorance. Over ten years has passed after graduation, time is fleeting.
On July 10th, I formally joined SmartGen.
Although I only work a few days, I had several informal chats with Chairman Yang by chance. Perhaps it is a long time to engage in production management and I have more contact with militarized management. For the conversation of leaders, I always consciously tell what is the command and what is demand. However, to my surprise, Mr. Yang often talk to me about The Tao.
Mr. Yang seriously connects The Tao with national self-confidence and company management philosophy, speaks with fervour and assurance, at that time, I am shocked. It seems that the shock doesn’t stimulate me enough, Mr. Yang continues to say,” I also wrote a book about The Tao, give you this book as a gift.” I have to admit, at that moment, I feel like that I am too naive even though I am thirty-seven. This leader treats The Tao very seriously.
The Tao, Way to Evergreen is very thick. After reading the preface and author’s preface, the words in chats are present in the book in front of me. I can feel the learned and refined, natural and unrestrained of Mr. Yang as a writer. I can feel the capable and experienced, wise and farsighted of Mr. Yang as the enterprise leader. I can feel the national self-confidence of Mr. Yang as the traditional culture researcher. I think this book is really worth reading carefully.

I had read a few sentences about The Tao curiously long time ago. The sentences always read rhythmic, but the meaning is hard to understand. Especially for some popular idioms or sentences, such as “The Tao cannot be depicted exactly because of the constrain of verbal description”, “Nature is absolutely fair and not merciful for any species specially”, “The universe is eternal”, “The best people are like water”, in addition to the inexplicable worship sense for ancient, I really didn’t have more feelings.

However, in Mr. Yang’s book, in the sharing session of Yang’s The Tao, the ideas of the ancient sages, the exposition about the Confucian, Buddhist and western ancient philosophers, all of them corroborate each other skillfully and particularly. This makes me feel that I have a sense of achievement and pride because I can feel the spirits of master’s thought. From the philosophical thinking of ancients, I have found some words or examples that can warn or encourage us. Perhaps we still cannot totally understand the language of the saints, but with help of The Tao, Way to Evergreen, we can taste the fragrance of wisdom in easy and humorous language of the book.

Learning The Tao is not only learning the book, but learning thinking and life. A book, your feeling and the sharing session, help us open up a new world.
In the future, it depends on ourselves.

A gas station in Shanxi province needs two gas generating units to be paralleled first and then parallel in grid. Usually the mains supply for a certain load, the generator set is reserved, in the peak period of electricity consumption, considering the cost of electricity, a generator set automatically start and close, the other is reserved, gens
parallels with mains, gens supply for the surplus load. If the residual load exceeds the rated power of a single unit, the other will automatically start and close, then
parallels with genset and parallels in grid. So the two units will share load to achieve the peak clipping mode.

When the load is reduced to available load of the single unit, the auto load of the standby genset will be transferred to the main genset and the standby unit will open and stop. When the load can be supplied by mains after reducing, the main genset will be transferred to mains by the automatic load, then open and stop. The load is supplied by mains.

In this project, the efficient use of energy is a bright spot. The radiating water tanks of two gensets use a 12 cubic large water tank. Through the running of gensets, the hot water of cylinder will be circulated and heat the gas pump of the gas station.

In this project, we need to use two HGM9510 parallel cabinet and one HGM9560 parallel in grid cabinet. After simply setting, the auto load peak clipping mode can be realized. It can reduce the electricity cost for customers.

16 years ago, in the summer of 2002, two sets SmartGen first generation genset auto start control modules (mains sampling) GAM-IVe started to serve the communications department and formed the power system of “two gens and one mains”.

Since then, our control modules have been work for 5800 days and never stopped.

After 16 years, one of them has faults and has been changed to the latest model HGM6120NC.

The phenomenon of “the first generation works with the newest” has rarely appeared. We all believe that whey will surely cooperate with each other and fight side by side!

Few years ago, we saw the easYgen3000XT control module for the first time from a customer. We were shocked by the big size. Why should the genset paralleling control module be so large?
